There is an urgent need for all participants at the 2014 UTME to be
well informed of the nitty-gritty of the whole exercise prior to the
examination day. This is in order to adequately arm the candidates, especially those
with obnoxious beliefs and fears concerning the UTME, with
requisite tools of
self-dependence, hard work and stimulants for total success at the 2014 UTME. Being
such a one that will be delivered by the Director of JAMB Akwa Ibom State, Mrs.
Ville Pius, and other JAMB Officials, this special
orientation will adequately
prepare, enlighten, develop and clear all doubts the UTME candidates may have
concerning the forthcoming UTME 2014.
During the orientation session, candidates/participants shall be exposed
to new technologies and innovations the Joint Admissions and Matriculation
Board (JAMB) is introducing in this year’s UTME to boost candidates’ efficiency
and accelerate success of all candidates (UTME and DE).
The JAMB officials shall spend some time to address
candidates/participants’ questions, comments and enquiries. Candidates may come
along with questions, but should do well
to hand them in to the ushers at the event venue in good time. This is their
chance as all questions are highly appreciated and accorded similar treatment.
Candidates who have any questions for the JAMB Officials may send same
to us here by email or SMS. This is to
enable us direct same to the examination body’s official( s) in good time,
prior to the event date. Note that questions shall be attended to on first
come, first serve basis. Also, due to timing, some questions may/may not be
attended to on the event day. Hence, sending your questions today is best, wise
and timely practice.
2014 JAMB CBT/DBT
TRAINING FOR ALL UTME CANDIDATES
Why the training?
Training
is not just an orientation. In fact, it is far more then that! The 2014 JAMB
CBT/DBT TRAINING is yet another milestone development we have embarked upon
since last year, 2013. Indeed, it is always an awesome experience as candidates
taking the 2014 JAMB CBT/DBT Examination would be firstly exposed to basic
computer operations, internet skills and computer appreciation techniques.
This
will be followed by the actual 2014 JAMB CBT/DBT TRAINING which will be in two
phases:
a. Offline training of all 2014 JAMB CBT/DBT
candidates with thorough practice.
b. Online JAMB CBT/DBT TRAINING with real time
simulations, 2014 JAMB CBT/DBT MOCK Examination.
N/B: Special video tutorials shall be
distributed to all our trainees to enhance their continued practice and
proficiency prior to the 2014 JAMB CBT/DBT Examination.
As such, all 2014
JAMB CBT/DBT Candidates who may not have had ANY knowledge of computer should
take this once-in-a-lifetime event
seriously and make themselves available at the programme. You will never regret
you did. Candidates with fair knowledge of computer (including experts) are equally
invited to attend.
To boost candidates’
morale, some of our 2013 JAMB CBT/DBT TRAINEES shall be featured to orient the
2014 JAMB CBT/DBT Candidates on their experiences at the 2013 UTME. It is a
double blessing for the 2014 UTME Candidates.
N/B: 2014 JAMB CBT/DBT Candidates who are not writing the 2014 JAMB CBT/DBT
may equally participate.

repute, Prof. Effiong Johnson. Prof. Johnson is a Professor of Aesthetics and at present lectures in the department of
theatre Arts, University of Uyo, Uyo.
Prof. Johnson has written
and published myriads of scholarly articles touching on barely all facet of
life, been awarded several laurels both at home and in the Diaspora, stands out
exceptional in virtually all facets of life and experience. He is a complete
testimony of hard work and resilience, and is without any iota of doubt the
best resource person for this role.
He shall be assisted by
other eminent personalities, teachers, examiners and educationists.
ICT/INTERNET TRAINING
1. All participants and candidates shall be
exposed to basic computer knowledge and Computer appreciation.
2. Candidates shall be taught the basics of
internet browsing and made to practice at the training centre.
3. Participates who perform brilliantly in
this session shall receive special gifts for their efforts.
THE 2014 MOCK UTME
All candidates in
attendance at the 2014 JAMB ORIENTATION & CBT/DBT TRAINING shall be made to
take the 2014 MOCK UTME which will be an eye opener for the actual 2014 JAMB
UTME. It is a special examination that will be administered to ONLY
participants at the 2014 UTME ORIENTATION & CBT/DBT TRAINING SUMMIT. Candidates
who perform creditably well shall be rewarded with fabulous, mouth-watering prizes.
It is not only meant to test candidates’ preparedness for the 2014 JAMB UTME,
but also to encourage teamwork among the participants at the event. It is going
