What is 2014 Uniuyo Post UTME (DEPARTMENTAL) Aptitude Test Cut-off mark, point ?

According to JAMB, the benchmark for partaking in any University Post UTME Aptitude Test in Nigeria is 180 UTME Score and 160 points for the Polytechnics. As such the general cut off point for

Uniuyo aptitude test post utme in year 2014 is therefore 180 points or score. Once a Uniuyo post utme aspirant has got up to this and above, then he/she is qualified to attend the forthcoming 2014 uniuyo aptitude test. But wait, do you know there is a difference between the words or terminologies, "post UTME screening exercise" and "aptitude test"? Well. . . .that is food for thought for now. Now, there is this confusion that has infiltrated the minds of these candidate which this author wishes to address at least, briefly. It is the issue of "UNIUYO Departmental cut-off point". So it would not be uncommon to hear a an aspirant pose these questions again and again, namely: 

1.      "what is Uniuyo departmental cut off point or mark for Law faculty?",

2.      "what is Uniuyo departmental cut off point or mark for civil engineering, or any other engineering department. . .”

3.      “Please what is Uniuyo departmental cut off point or mark for business administration”, and so on and so forth.

Well, to answer this, let’s consider the circumstances, at least as they are. Might be, you would  please get this straight from now on. But to start with, the question is, “does UNIUYO disclose its admission cutoff points? ”. let’s see the answer below.

1. The University of Uyo does not publicise its admissions cut off point for any department, whether it is post UTME exercise or any other examination. That would be like exposing its marking scheme or master list for public scrutiny. So be not deceived folks, nobody will tell you the exact Uniuyo cut off mark EXCEPT otherwise. But that is an exception anywhere. As a candidate, you would not know, not even this author is entitled to such. 

2. The University expects all candidates to focus on their exams and aim for very high scores at the PUTME. As regards general Uniuyo departmental cut-off point (that is consideration for taking the post utme aptitude test), it is 180 . But experience has shown that this could either be increased or reduced for individual departments later AFTER the Post UTME screening exercise has been concluded. This year's Aptitude test would not perhaps be an exception. The 180 UNIUYO 2014 post UTME score would however facilitate candidates' chances at the 2014 post UTME SUPPLEMENTARY admission examinations/screening. The target therefore for the aspirants should be "Above 180 in the 2014 Uniuyo Post UTME". Why the school refuses to disclose its post utme aptitude test departmental cut-off point is just a question still of time. 

TIPOFF: We seem to be more bothered when we get to know much more than we should. For now, this is the true-life situation. Should someone out there be in doubt of these, please don't forget to direct such a one to where you first heard it! This is www.educationnigeria.org.
