There is a
high indication that the University of Uyo may resume on Monday, December 9th
join its counterparts following the federal
government’s directive. At the
moment, all heads of departments in the school have been directed by the
University’s registrar, Mrs. Edak Umondak to open registers in their respective
departments, kick starting academic activities immediately.
According to
the news aired over the AKBC 90.52Mhz radio, December 4th, 2013, the Uniuyo
registrar stressed that failure to carry out this directive by the H.O.Ds will
result in the issuance of queries which if not satisfactorily replied, would lead
to termination of appointments.
In a
related development, the school has called on all students to comply with the
schools directive on the payment of the surcharge as directed on the school’s
website, the event which would last two weeks. However, newly admitted candidates
of the school are exempted from this exercise.
